Two PSA vendors changed how their AI features work. Scoro’s ELI assistant can now change resource bookings, not only answer questions. Teamwork is moving its AI into usage-based credits from November 2026. Both changes affect how agencies plan staffing and budget for software.

What changed at Scoro

Scoro’s July 2026 update, published on June 29, 2026, gives ELI write access to bookings. A user can ask ELI to create, update, confirm, delete, or reallocate a booking. Scoro’s example confirms all tentative bookings on one project in a single instruction.

The same update adds one-click action buttons. The project header gets an Analyze project health button. The Bookings module gets a Balance bookings button, which redistributes team workload.

Scoro’s blog index also lists a September 2026 post, “What’s New in September 2026: Scoro Time Mobile App for Time Tracking & ELI Improvements”, and an August 2026 post on ELI triggers. We did not open those two posts, so this article does not describe their contents.

What changed at Teamwork

Teamwork’s pricing page says Teamwork AI is “included in all paid plans for an introductory period”. The same page says “Usage-based AI credits launch November 2026.”

We could not confirm how many credits each plan includes. Ask Teamwork for the allowance in writing before you budget for the metered phase.

What it means for agencies

Action-taking assistants change operational data. A booking change moves a person’s planned hours. Planned hours feed utilization and margin, so a wrong change affects the P&L, not only the calendar.

AI cost is changing shape. An included feature has a predictable cost. A metered feature depends on use. Agencies that rely on AI for daily planning should estimate their usage now, before the metered phase starts.

Automation also needs a record. An assistant that changes bookings should log who asked for the change, what changed, and when. Confirm that the record exists before you grant write access.

Start with a bounded trial. Pick one active project and one planning week. Ask the assistant to make a booking change, then check the result in the booking view, the project financials and the change log. Confirm that the log names the person who asked for the change.

Decide who may ask for changes before you enable the feature. A project manager can plan work with an assistant. A finance lead may need to approve any change that moves billable hours between projects.

Where BoB fits

BoB, the product from Byoxon, combines time tracking, CRM, HR and real-time project P&L. The Byoxon homepage describes simple, volume-based pricing per user per month.

This article does not claim that BoB includes an AI assistant or AI usage pricing. Check the current feature list on byoxon.com before you compare it with the tools above. To see the project P&L on your own data, use the trial option in the box above.

Real-time project P&L matters most when resourcing changes often. Each reallocation changes planned cost, so a team needs to see the margin effect quickly. The BoB homepage describes real-time P&L as part of the product. Test that view with one of your own projects before you decide.

Four checkpoints for buyers: write access, approval, audit trail and AI pricing, each with the question to ask a PSA vendor before adoption.
Four checks before an AI assistant writes to your PSA data.

Five questions to ask any PSA vendor about AI

Use these questions in a demo or a trial. Record each answer with the vendor name and the date you asked.

  1. Which records can the assistant change?
  2. Can a person approve an action before it runs?
  3. Is each AI change logged with the user or rule that triggered it?
  4. Is AI included in the plan, or metered by usage? What is the allowance?
  5. What happens to AI features when an introductory period ends?

Ask for each answer in writing. A verbal answer does not show how the feature behaves after the trial ends.
